GIC

So every year for the past five years our church has had a "GIC" or Global Impact Celebration where various missionaries we partner with come in and give us an idea of what is going on in their ministry. This year will be one to remember for me! I was suppose to be part of the registration commitee, but quickly turned into the able bodied babysitter! But I loved every second of it. Even while chasing a kid down the hall. . . I have met Chris and Kasi from eastern Asia and their three kids (Cooper, 5, Zeke, 3, Adah, 6 months). Where they serve is very restricted and the government is in complete control of everything. There are roughly 800,000 people in their area and as of right now 300 are saved! Before they moved into the area the people hadn't ever heard of Jesus! It was a shock to me, but I learned a lot from them over the past few days. I have also met Dee Dee and George Johns and their son Doc who is eight. They have served in Honduras for the past six years. I got to meet Doc during the welcoming and even played some soccer barefooted in the chapel area. . . It was fun! Through this time each family has made some huge challenges to our youth group and our church. So far there have been invites for a youth team in China, Honduras, and Slovakia. It'll take a lot of planning and prayer to have those trips in order, but God can provide!

Then this morning's worship time was amazing. . . I knew it was going to be great, but man! The choir just came out of nowhere and really got me. I had to stop playing for a minute to see if it was still our choir up there. . . and it was. It's just indescribable what all has gone on and I can't wait to see how God uses this past week to form the next year and plan some awesome trips.

Waiting for that day...

So soon there is going to be the day that I wake up and officially deem myself a senior... It hasn't happened yet, nor am I sure when it is going to happen. I just know it is soon! I don't know how God is going to work through me this year. I have made some huge deicsions in the past few months and I believe that they are going to greatly shape my future. As I will only be at the school for two hours this year, I will really have to watch my remarks and actions... I can't wait for soccer season to start as it will be my last season! I can't wait to see what all will go down this year! later....
